Source- The Bruins will host the Canadiens in the 2016 Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium, WEEI.com has learned from league sources. The Jan. 1 meeting between the two clubs, which has long been speculated, will be the second Winter Classic the Bruins have hosted. The B’s defeated the Flyers in overtime at the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Park.
This is awesome. There's been a lot of talk about the Bruins hosting the Canadiens for the next winter classic. This is a heated rivalry and the games are always incredible between these two clubs. Having them in the winter classic should be great for hockey. I am even more excited that the game is going to be played in Boston. There's an upside to having the game at Fenway and Gillette. While Fenway would be awesome because it would be a big day long event and you could hang out in the city all day and going to the bars. While the viewing may not be too good at Fenway it would be awesome to be in the city. The plus side to having the game at Gillette is that it would be awesome viewing. I think where ever you sit you'll be able to see the game. Either way the Bruins hosting the event will be awesome.
