Tanaka Placed on 15 Day DL for Forearm Strain

ESPNNEW YORK -- Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka will be out at least a month with right wrist tendinitis and a mildly strained forearm, Yankees GM Brian Cashman announced. The Yankees are choosing to be extra cautious with Tanaka in part because he missed 10 weeks last season due to a small tear in the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
"We want to make sure this does not lead to more horrific problems," Cashman said at a news conference during Tuesday night's Yankees-Tampa Bay Raysgame, which happened to also be Tanaka bobblehead night.
Tanaka has been placed on the 15-day DL.
Tanaka was superb in his past two starts, alleviating fear about the elbow. But he complained of pain in the side of his wrist Tuesday when he arrived at Yankee Stadium -- even though pitching coach Larry Rothschild said Tanaka's bullpen session between starts was "fantastic,'' according to Cashman.
"I woke up the next morning and I felt it a little bit in the wrist area, but I thought it would be fine,'' Tanaka said through a translator. "I went out and played light catch on that day, which was yesterday. I woke up this morning and felt it a little more than the day before, so that's why I went over to Steve [Donohue] our trainer, and told him about it."
Tanaka had not mentioned any problems previously. He left the ballpark to have MRIs on the wrist and the elbow. Both came out negative.
"I was shocked when I heard about it," manager Joe Girardi said.
Last year, three specialists informed the Yankees that Tanaka could avoid Tommy John surgery on the right elbow for now. He rehabbed to come back to make two starts last season. Thus far this season, he is 2-1 with a 3.22 ERA.
"Personally, I don't think that it has anything to do with my elbow," Tanaka said of his new injuries.
The Yankees had given Tanaka five days' rest prior to each of his first three starts. Before his last start, he received four days -- which is usually the normal rest time in the major leagues -- and went six innings, giving up just one run in Detroit. Now, he won't throw for at a week.
"At the very least, he will be shut down from throwing for seven to 10 days," Cashman said.
After that, Tanaka will have to build up his arm strength, which will take a couple more weeks, at least, before he will be back in the rotation.
"I feel I'll come back strong," Tanaka said.
Tanaka, 26, will be replaced in the starting rotation by Chase Whitley. Whitley started for the Yankees on Tuesday night. Michael Pineda will start Wednesday afternoon in place of Tanaka.
The Yankees signed Tanaka prior to last year for a total of $175 million, which included a $20 million posting fee. He began his rookie year as one of the best starters in baseball, with a 1.99 ERA in his first 14 starts, 12 of which the Yankees won before he ended up on the DL.
Prior to this season, Tanaka talked about how his velocity was not the same and he didn't expect it to return all year. His fastball, though, has been near the same speed as it was last season.
There has been speculation by the fans and media that Tanaka should have had Tommy John surgery to fix his elbow, but Cashman doesn't agree.
"The answer to that is absolutely no regret because we are following the medical directives," Cashman said. "I can't remember any time we have ever gone against doctors' orders. Like, why would we? They are the experts. We follow what they prescribe."

Well this sucks. Maz has been pitching great lately and I was looking forward to him throwing a perfect game tomorrow night, but now he's got some wrist/forearm issue that will put him on the DL for a month. The good news is that it's not his elbow, and while some people say forearm issues can lead to Tommy John Surgery, Tanaka said it's got nothing to do with his elbow so hopefully that remains true. From what it seems, his elbow has been completely fine this year. First start wasn't good, second start wasn't ideal but got a W, third start was near perfection, and fourth start was dominant again. So he was feeling good, and on a roll. Hopefully this month off doesn't set him back much further. Still got him penciled in for the Cy Young. If that Kershaw hick can win it by starting the season on the DL then Tanaka missing a few starts in May won't hurt his chances. 29-1 with a 1.90 ERA. Mark it down folks.
Sidenote: Yanks have been playing great baseball of late (10-2 in their last 12 games) so hopefully the guys around Tanaka continue to perform at a high level and rise to the occasion while he's out.

Throwback Thursday

Ten years ago today, the best quarterback in the league was drafted. Sucks for all those teams before Green Bay that didn't draft Aaron Rodgers. I'm sure they'd all love to have him now. IDIOTS. Love it. Here's to the MVP.

Is that throw to Richard Rodgers against the Cowboys the best throw of all time? Yes. Yes is the only answer to that question.

Need that "Live Like a Warrior" Remix. Need it.

In the Saddest Thing of All Time, Bro Tweets at Michael Kay that His Wife Left Him for the Mailman

If this is a real thing, this has to be the saddest shit of all time right? I mean, very real chance this guy just came up with something to get a retweet from Michael Kay, which is pretty sad in itself. But, let's assume he's being serious. This poor dude is so down in the dumps (rightfully so) about his wife leaving him for the mailman that a retweet from the Yankees play by play announcer would cheer him up. That's some sad shit right there folks.

Brittney Griner and Her WNBA Fiancee Both Arrested For Assaulting Each Other

SourceWNBA star Brittney Griner and her fiancĂ©e were both arrested on allegations of assault and disorderly conduct in Arizona, according to the USA Today.
TMZ reports the pair were allegedly attacking each other and police were called to their Phoenix home around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Officers observed “minor physical injuries” on both Brittney and girlfriend Glory Johnson, who also plays in the league.
“We are aware of this morning’s incident involving Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson and are working with the Phoenix Mercury and Tulsa Shock organizations to obtain more information,” the league said in a statement.
Griner, who led the Phoenix Mercury to the 2014 title, was released from jail at 4 a.m. Thursday.
Griner got engaged to Johnson, who plays for the Tulsa Shock, last summer.

It's not often the WNBA finds its way into the news so I'm sure they'll take what they can get here. One of the league's biggest stars is involved in a domestic violence case with her fiancee who is also in the WNBA. That's fucking gravy for the league. They gotta love this shit. Get em in the headlines. Get the ratings up. What they ought to do is make this stuff part of the games. Just have full contact, lesbian fights out there on the basketball court. Then maybe you'll puts some asses in the seats. (Probably not.)

Taco Bell Gun Fight

SourcePolice said a man pulled a gun on the customer behind him at a Branford Taco Bell drive-thru on Wednesday night because the other customer beeped at him. The altercation happened at the drive-thru of Taco Bell, at 960 West Main Street, around 10:30 p.m., according to a news release from police. The victim told authorities that he was in line at the drive-thru when a man approached him, pointed a handgun at him and fled in a vehicle.

I 100% understand this guy's actions. There is absolutely nothing more annoying than someone honking at you when you're waiting in a line. Chill the F out bro, you'll get there in a second, no need to honk at me. Add the fact that he was just trying to get some taco bell. I think that everything this bro did was completely justified. The person honking at him when he was just tryna get his bell on should be the one that is getting arrested. If someone honked at me while I was in a drive-thru line I would probably do the same thing. Also, just a general note, if you honk at someone before 5-10 seconds you're a huge asshole. Are you really in that big of a rush that those few seconds will effect you? If yes, why are you waiting in line for Taco Bell?

New Zac Brown Band Jam

Here's the third and single off the new Zac Brown Band album which is due out on Tuesday. I don't remember the last time I was this excited for an album. The  new jam 'Loving You Easy' is absolute FIRE. My biggest complaint? It's too short. There's 0 chance I listen to anything but ZBB this summer. I thought Homegrown was straight fire but it was pretty generic, Heavy Is the Head wasn't my taste but this song is incredible. I give it a 12 out of 10 stars.

Remember that Tranny Kid Who Was Told He Couldn't Dress as a Girl for His Driver's License Photo? Well, the DMV Settled and is Letting Him Take the Photo as a Chick

SourceANDERSON, S.C. —Representatives from an organization that filed a lawsuit on behalf of Chase Culpepper, the Upstate teen who was forced to take off his makeup for a driver's license picture, said the lawsuit has been settled.

The Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund announced the settlement during a news conference Wednesday morning.

WYFF News 4 first reported about the settlement Tuesday night on WYFF4.com and WYFF News 4 at 11.
To read the entire lawsuit, click HERE
In the settlement, the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles agreed to allow Culpepper to take a driver's license picture wearing everyday makeup.
The agency has also agreed to modify its policies and procedures.
Culpepper considers himself "gender non-conforming", wears makeup almost daily and dresses in girl's clothing.
After he passed his driver's test in March 2014, the DMV in Anderson told him that his makeup had to be removed.
The DMV said it was following policy in that no photograph can be taken if a person is purposely altering his or her appearance to misrepresent his or her identity.
The lawsuit said the action denied Culpepper his right to free speech and expression.

So I went into a fair amount of detail in my blog when the original story broke but now that this kid is getting a settlement I have to keep you folks updated. And my argument isn't changing either. I've probably blogged a solid 4-5 times about how trannies are the worst of the worst. I mean, your driver's license says you're a male. But you're dressing like a woman. THAT'S NOT ALLOWED BRO. The DMV completely pussied out on this one. You're gonna settle? You were clearly following state law. There's nothing wrong with that. Go to trial you morons. Don't just let some mentally unstable 16 year old get whatever he wants because some stupid tranny group is backing him.
And can we talk about the term that this dickshit calls himself? "Gender non-conforming." What the fuck does that mean bro? So realizing you're a male because you have a dick is being conformist now? You aren't a conformist because you want a vagina instead of a dick? Okay dude. You and your tranny friends can keep calling yourselves "gender non-conforming" while the rest of America will refer to you people as the "in need of psychiatric care."

P.S. Every transgender person I talk about is just "tranny kid" or "tranny dude" or "tranny chick". If you don't want me to recognize you as what you are, then I'm not gonna call you by your fucking name. You think I'm gonna call this fucker Chase Culpepper? No way. He's fucking tranny kid now.

Is Everyone in Dallas OK After Jana Kramer Set the Jerry Dome on Fire at the ACMs?

T-Swift is there. Carrie Underwood is there. Kacey Musgraves. Miranda Lambert. Hot celebrity guests like Sofia Vergara are there. But they all fall short of Jana Kramer tonight. I'm 97% certain that another human being can not look as amazing as Jana Kramer tonight.

So RIP Dallas, Texas. Because Jana Kramer just burned the place to the fuckin ground.

Mark's Stanley Cup Playoffs Bracket

Yeah that's right. Penguins taking home the Cup. I mean come on, I just predicted the Yankees to win the World Series. You thought I was just gonna knock off my Penguins in the playoffs? You thought wrong. As far as the West goes, I love Nashville and my brother lives there now so I'm hoping they can make a run to the Finals.

Needs another.

Penguins vs. Rangers Preview

Alright, as you probably already know I'm not as big of a hockey guy as Luke is, but I am a Penguins fan and I love the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Pens were in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in the last nine seasons but they snuck in as the final wild card and will play the New York Rangers in the first round. The Rangers won the President's Trophy for best record in the league and are obviously the top seed in the East. This matchup is a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Semifinals in which the Blueshirts erased a 3-1 Pens series lead to take it 4-3 and went on to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals after defeating the Canadiens in the Eastern Finals. The Pens just fell asleep and forgot how to score in the last three games of that series, and it was not fun to watch.

However, it's a much different team this year for the Pens, and unfortunately they're arguably worse. And they're facing a Rangers team that is arguably much better than the one that reached the Finals last season. But with that being said, you'd be nuts to count out a team that has the star power Pittsburgh has. They've constantly choked since their 2009 Cup and it resulted in the firing of head coach Dan Bylsma and GM Ray Shero. They brought in Mike Johnston as the coach and Jim Rutherford as GM and they were fine for a while. But they almost started their yearly choking too early by nearly missing the playoffs. Hopefully Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin and others got the bad play out of the way before the playoffs and are ready to go. I don't know much about the Rangers but obviously they're very good and Henrik Lundqvist is a beast at goaltender. Speaking of goaltending, the Pens' Marc Andre Fleury now has a reputation for completely sucking in the playoffs. He definitely earned that rep a couple of years ago, but last year I thought he was very solid. Tough to win games when your team forgets how to put the puck in the net. And this season, Fleury was arguably the team's MVP during the regular season. He had a .920 save percentage, 2.25 goals allowed per game, 34 wins, and 10 shutouts. Fingers crossed he keeps that up. He's definitely gonna have to step up and be great when they're going up against arguably the best goaltender in the league.

Like I said, I don't know much about the Rangers, and I haven't even been able to watch the Penguins at all really because I don't get NBC Sports Network at my apartment, so my prediction is gonna be based solely on the fact that I'm a Pens fan. And I think that the Penguins got a little wake up call by barely making the playoffs. I think they're ready to rock n roll now that we're into the playoffs. Penguins in 7.  (If you aren't a Penguins fan, you'd probably say Rangers in 6.)

Here's the series schedule:

Luke's NHL Bracket

Here's my official NHL 2015 bracket. Since my beloved Bruins decided to blow it and aren't in the playoffs this year it will be pretty sad watching the playoffs.

I think the Isles are going to take it all this year. They've been hot all season. I'm unsure about the Ducks and Blues in the West, I think it's a real toss up as to whole can win it all. I have a feeling Calgary will beat the Canucks but don't think they have enough playoff experience to beat the Ducks in the second round. As for the East, the Rangers will obviously run train on the Penguins, they have been the hottest team in the East all year. That second round match up between the Rangers and Islanders will be must watch hockey, every game will be electric but I think that's where the Rangers luck runs out. As everyone knows, the team that wins the Presidents Trophy never wins the cup. Although Montreal has been strong this season, I think Ottawa will be able to sneak by them. It should be an awesome series but I think the Canadiens rely to heavily on Price.

I'll be interested to see how things work out come June.

Remembering the Hartford Whalers: 18 Years Ago Today

It was today 18 years ago that the Hartford Whalers played their last game ever. A 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Whalers were never extremely successful in the NHL, only making the playoffs 8 times in 18 years and having one playoff series win. It's a shame that the Whalers were set with the deck against them playing in Hartford, so they had to compete with the Bruins and Rangers for fans, the Hartford Civid Center where they played their games was also extremely small. The Whalers averaged 14,000 fans at their home games. Some notable ex-Whalers players are Paul Coffey, Gordie Howe, Mark Howe, Bobby Hull, Brendan Shanahan, Ron Francis and, Jean Sebastian Giguerge, the last Whalers player to be active in the NHL. I'm sure there are quite a few Whalers players that I left off that list but those are some key names. Unfortunately the market in Hartford just isn't strong enough to justify bringing the Whalers back. The city barely supports an AHL team so i can't imagine an NHL team would do much better. Although if the Whalers did come back it would be incredible. Best unis in the league. Hands down.

P.S.- The Whalers had the best goal song of ALL TIME.

The last Whalers goal ever

RIP 2014-2015 Boston Bruins

(Disclaimer: The season being over still hasn't hit me, please forgive my rambling)

If you told me in October when I wrote my Bruin's season preview that the Bruins would not make the playoffs come April, I would have laughed in your face. I thought the Bruins were destined to do great things, instead all they did was disappoint. I got a bad taste in my mouth as soon as they shipped off Boychuk, why is Chiarelli sending away a key player and great defenseman? I know it was because of cap space, but come on, there must have been someone else they could have dealt (cough cough Seidenberg). As soon as Chiarelli did that, I could tell that he wasn't worried about worrying anytime soon. Krejci spent a large portion of the season on the sidelines with multiple injuries. That hurts a team when one of your most gifted scorers/players can't play. The already declining Chara also suffered an injury which sidelined him for quite a bit. Although Chara's play has declined greatly, it got even worse when he came back from the injury that probably should have been fixed with surgery. As soon as the Bruins lost Chara their blue line got quite a bit thinner (maybe Boychuk could have helped this). There were lots of young guys back there that had to step up and play an even bigger role. You had guys like McQuaid and Seidenberg playing a lot of minutes. After Jarome Iginla left Boston the last off season, there were a lot of questions about who would replace him as the first line right winger, I hung my hat on the hopes that Loui Eriksson would finally step up and be the 65+ point scorer that he was in Dallas and stop being an absolute bum. I think he never bounced back from those concussions. It's a shame because I had really high hopes for him when he came over in the Tyler Seguin (gently weeps) deal. The part that drives me the craziest about this season is that Claude Julien stuck with Gregory Campbell and Danielle Paille for so long, yes I realize that they used to be some of the 4th line grinders in the league but those days are long gone. As it was announced today, neither player will be returning to Boston. I think these two guys should have been sat along time ago for some younger fresher guys, maybe I wouldn't be writing a season recap blog on April 13th if that was the case. For some reason the Bruins have this awful habit of not giving younger guys a chance (See: Matt Fraser, Craig Cunningham) and sticking with these old dudes who weren't doing anything. I suppose a silver lining to this season was the rise of Ryan Spooner and David Pastrnak towards the end of the season. They were on a line with Lucic which I think added a little grit to the line and proved to be quite effective. Spooner had 18 points in 29 games and Pastrnak had 27 points in 46 games. Pasta didn't really hit his stride until he was paired up with Spoons and Looch. Watching 88 play was 100% the highlight of the season for me, every time he was on the ice for a goal he absolutely lit up and was like a child. I think the Bruins could have used some more of that, most guys look like they've seen a dead body when they score. Hockey is supposed to be fun, right? Speaking of Lucic, he was absolutely TERRIBLE this year, god awful. Registering only 44 points in 81 games, what are you doing bro? That's a 15pt drop off from last season. There are A LOT of rumors of exploring trade options for Lucic which I don't agree with. I think you give him another year and then maybe then see what you can get for him. I think he still has a lot of great hockey left in him if he starts to play 110% again. Towards the end of the season Kevan Miller also got hurt which was another blow to the blue line. Miller is a super solid stay at home defenseman that plays a gritty tough game.
Some guys that I think the Bruins need to get rid of are Reilly Smith, who was so god damn bad this year. He scored 40pts in 81 games and could never catch his stride. Maybe he wouldn't be bad on the third or fourth line but by no means is he a first or second liner. I would love to see the Bruins get rid of him. Carl Soderberg is another guy that I would like to see the Bruins not bring back. He's a free agent this summer and I see absolutely no reason for them to bring him back. He was another unbelievably mediocre player for the Bruins this season. I hope the Bruins don't bring back for 2015-2016 season is Dennis Seidenberg, god damn I hate him. He contributed basically nothing to the Bruins this year and just constantly messed everything up. Not only does Seidenberg suck on defense but he's also awful at offense too, he got only 14pts in 82 games. The last guy I want the Bruins to get rid of is Chris Kelly. I absolutely HATE Chris Kelly. He put up 28 points in 80 games this year and 18pts in 57 games last year. That's so god damn bad. How do you keep a guy like that around and none the less let him be an assistant captain. If the Bruins didn't announce today that Gregory Campbell and Danielle Paille were leaving they would be on this list too. Hopefully the Bruins get rid of these guys and can replace them with some players that will actually make an impact.
Some other free agents this summer are Dougie Hamilton which they absolutely need to resign. If Dougie can add some grit to his game I think he'll become an even better player, he's already awesome and that will just add another element. Hamilton is becoming more and more of a key player for the Bruins and I have loved seeing him progress. Adam McQuaid is another free agent this year that I would like to see the Bruins bring back. McQuaid isn't an all star player by any means but he brings a good tough/ defensive aspect to the game that they definitely need. McQuaid is never afraid to drop the mitts and do whatever it takes to help his team. Ryan Spooner will also be a free agent this summer and after his successful season I expect the Bruins to bring him back. He's young, quick and has a knack for scoring goals. Matt Bartowski will also be a free agent this summer who I could see going either way, he could be a good depth guy but by no means should he be in the top 6. Brett Connolly will also be a free agent who I know the Bruins will resign since they just acquired him in a trade with the Lightning.

Looking forward I hope that the Bruins make some trades and acquire some free agents to make their team younger and more offensively gifted. It will be interesting to see what Charlie Jacobs does about Claude Julien and Peter Chiarelli, earlier in the season Jacobs stated that not making the playoffs was "absolutely unacceptable" and "incredible failure" so I'm not sure what's going to happen. I wouldn't be too surprised if they each got another season to see if they can straighten things out. I would be pretty disappointed to see Julien go but I would not mind one bit if Jacobs got rid of Chiarelli. I for one am sick of him and would love to get a new GM in there. Thinking about what he's messed up makes me angry every single time. Hopefully Charlie Jacobs gets rid of Peter Chiarelli and keeps Claude Julien. If Claude can tweak the system a little so they're a little more offensive I think the Bruins could be great again. While this is a step back for the Bruins, I don't think it's a huge step back. It could end up helping them in the long run. I think it's time for the Bruins to let Patrice Bergeron wear the "C". I could live with them trading Chara and I think Bergeron needs to take over the leadership role.

A-Rod Says He Felt Like He Needed Google Maps to Get Around the Bases Last Night

You might see this and say "but Alex, didn't you hit three home runs in spring training?" but that would be stupid. Because the Yankees don't play spring training games in the Bronx, morons. You see, he needed Google Maps to get around THESE bases. It's these bases, in YANKEE STADIUM that he hasn't rounded in a "long, long time." Duh bro. Not some dumb spring training stadium bases down in Florida.

Seriously though, A-Rod just keeps firing on all cylinders. This one might be the best of the recent ridiculous/hilarious/stupid comments. Fucking Google Maps to get around the bases. I'm laughing just typing it.

T Swift's Mom Has Cancer #PrayForMamaSwift

Hey guys,
I’m writing to you with an update I wish I wasn’t giving you, but it’s important and I’m used to sharing important events in my life with you. Usually when things happen to me, I process them and then write music about how I feel, and you hear it much later. This is something my family and I thought you should know about now.
For Christmas this year, I asked my mom that one of her gifts to me be her going to the doctor to get screened for any health issues, just to ease some worries of mine. She agreed, and went in to get checked. There were no red flags and she felt perfectly fine, but she did it just to get me and my brother off her case about it.
The results came in, and I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer. I’d like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private, but she wanted you to know.
She wanted you to know because your parents may be too busy juggling everything they’ve got going on to go to the doctor, and maybe you reminding them to go get checked for cancer could possibly lead to an early diagnosis and an easier battle… Or peace of mind in knowing that they’re healthy and there’s nothing to worry about. She wanted you to know why she may not be at as many shows this tour. She’s got an important battle to fight.
Thank you for caring about my family so much that she would want me to share this information with you.
I hope and pray that you never get news like this.
Love you.
Taylor

Saw this this morning when Taylor tweeted the link to this, but I had a busy day and actually wasn't even gonna blog this anyway. But then I realized I blog anything and everything T Swift and it was kinda a slow day, so I'm blogging it now.
Sad stuff for the Swift family. Prayers up for Mama Swift, hope she has a full and quick recovery. Nice of her to be thinking about Taylor's fans and their parents when she's got all this going on. Just a great all American family.

If you haven't watched this at least once today then you need to. Gets me thinking about my mom. Love ya, ma.

Michigan Flip Fops Again, Gonna Show American Sniper as Scheduled

Flip Flop City from U of Michigan. At least they ended up making the right decision. I would pay a lot of money to see the live reaction from Lamees Mekkaoui when she got this news. Suck it bitch.

Love Jim Harbaugh by the way.

2015 Masters Preview

Ahh yes, the best weekend of the year is FINALLY here. I wait all year for this, to lay on my couch and watch some incredible golf at one of the best courses in the world. There's truly nothing like it. You're also almost guaranteed to witness some incredible golf. From the start of Thursday's round till the end of the tournament on Sunday I can guarantee you I will not be watching anything but the Masters. This year will be absolutely incredible. Tiger is back and says he's ready to play. Dustin Johnson is off cocaine and focused. Young gun Jordan Spieth is hot lately. Rory McIlroy is trying to complete the career grand slam. Phil Mickelson will look to get his fourth green jacket although only 8 players in the history of the tournament have won it after the 44th birthday. It should be an incredible tournament this weekend.

Thursday's Tee Times
Thursday has some absolutely AWESOME groups and I'm having a really hard time deciding which one I like the most. These are the top 5 groups that I am excited to see on Thursday.

1. First we've got Patrick Reed, Keegan Bradley, and Ian Poulter, what a trio of absolute legends. Each of these guys is someone that you don't want to sleep on because they could easily come up and win it all while you're not paying attention.

2. Then we've got Dustin Johnson (who I think has a possibility of wearing the green jacket) and Adam Scott who's also a solid golfer. DJ has been hot lately and I don't think that's about to change.

3. Next we've got Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy, this is an honest question, has there ever been a better duo in golf? I don't think so. I feel like these two will probably hit the bar together after the round and slam beers and wheel girls. I love it.

4. Then we've got young gun Jordan Spieth with Henrik Stenson, the 21 year old Spieth has gotten a lot of attention from his incredible display at last year's Masters so I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the top of the leader board come Sunday afternoon.

5. Next up we've got Jason Day, Sergio Garcia and, Rickie Fowler. They should keep this group together all weekend and call them the Choke Artists. I like all 3 guys but none of them are consistent enough to be putting on the green jacket come sunday.

Obviously every grouping is pretty much full of studs but these are just a few of my favorites that I'm excited to see. I'm obviously also excited to see Tiger Woods but to be honest I do not care about Jamie Donaldson.

Last Year's Winner
I was talking about this earlier with Mark, I don't really hate any golfers, I appreciate the game and am generally a fan, until it comes to Bubba Watson. I hate Bubba so much. Such a god damn nerd. Bubba also won the Masters in 2012, that's 2 green jackets in 2 years, honestly it's impressive but I still hate you. I will probably drive to Augusta to fight Bubba if he wins again, I need someone new to wear that green jacket. Not some freak from Florida who looks like he's still breastfed. I don't expect to see Bubba do anything this year, wouldn't even be surprised if he missed the cut. (JK, I would be kind of surprised if he missed the cut). No one has won back to back green jackets since Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002 and Bubba is nowhere near the player that Tiger was in those days.

Tiger Woods
After a 2 month hiatus following some brutal golf, Tiger is back baby! This will be Tiger's 20th time competing for the green jacket. Most of those other years, Tiger was entering the tournament as a favorite, this year he will be a major underdog. No one expects much out of Tiger since he hasn't even been finishing rounds lately. Let me say this, throughout all his problems I have been a huge Tiger fan but I'm sick of him not competing. Golf needs Tiger and Tiger needs golf, that's just a fact. I think this is his official comeback, he said today that he feels good and is ready. Reading that fired me up an insane amount, I need Tiger! My official prediction is that Tiger will finish in the top 10 on Sunday.  Check out his press conference from yesterday here.

Favorites to Win
Let me preface this by saying that these are MY predictions for guys that I think have a chance to win it, there is absolutely no science to it.

Dustin Johnson
DJ is my #1 pick to win it all. He's been playing great this year, he's off cocaine, his party days are behind him. This is his first major event since his hiatus. In his last 5 starts he's had 1 win and 3 other top 6 finishes. DJ's game fits Augusta well and I think he's going to capitalize on that this year. The guy can absolutely crush the ball which should suit him well on this long course. Look for DJ to be putting on the green jacket Sunday.

Rory McIlroy
This one is probably pretty obvious. Rory has won the last two majors and since breaking of his engagement with tennis player Caroline Wozniacki he's been lighting the golf world on fire. Unstoppable. He comes to Augusta looking to complete the career grand slam. The only thing that worries me about McIlroy is that he's only had one Top 10 finish at Augusta, we'll see if he can turn that around this year. It would be awesome to see Rory get the grand slam and rock the green jacket.

Jordan Spieth
Spieth is my favorite young golfer right now. He stormed the scene last year at the Masters. He was playing great until he had an awful back nine on Sunday last year. Now with a little experience under his belt I think this could be Spieth's major breakthrough. He is the youngest player behind Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia to win multiple PGA events. This could be Jordan's year.
