NFL Week 3 Round Up: AFC

So as Mark said in his blog we're starting a new feature here recapping the week in the NFL. He's taking the NFC and im doing AFC so listen up ya bishes.

Jacksonville Jaguars 17 at. New England Patriots 51
Obviously this was a huge game for me. My boys lit it up against the Jags. I don't think it comes as a surprise to anyone. My boy TB12 threw his 400th TD pass, NBD. Immediately after the touchdown, Amendola gave the ball away to someone in the crowd cause no one on the field realized that it was a milestone. That's the kind of game they play in New England, only worried about the team. Afterwards when TB12 was asked about it he simply answered "I don't care." My recommendation  for all New England fans to book their flights to San Francisco for February 7th. 19-0.

Indianapolis Colts 35 at. Tennesse Titans 33
This was an interesting game because the Colts have been unreal shitty this season so far. Andrew Luck is throwing pick after pick. On the other hand, the Titans have Mariota the Heisman winning QB and #2 overall draft pick who's been having a good season. The Colts barely edged out their first W of the season.

Oakland Raiders 27 at. Cleveland Browns 20
So I guess the big news here is that the Raiders aren't all that bad anymore? They're 2-1 on the season which is pretty surprising for them. Maybe Derek Carr is finally developing, the addition of Amari Cooper can't hurt either. The Browns did the dumbest thing in the world by starting McCown over Manziel. I don't think anyone in this world understands why they did that. Why start someone that has proven time and time again that he is a mediocre back up QB over a guy in his young 20's who hasn't had the opportunity to prove himself.

Cincinnati Bengals 28 at. Baltimore Ravens 24
All I have to say about this is that the Bengals are the biggest fraud 3-0 team out there and the Ravens are 0-3 because Harbaugh messed with the Patriots. Suck it Baltimore losers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9 at. Houston Texans 19
Jameis Winston blows, he'll never be anything more than a mediocre QB. Everyone thought that the Texans were gonna be this mega team and I feel bad that Wilfork isn't on a better team but JJ Watt is the biggest hardo in the world so he and the Texasn can suck eggs.

Buffalo Bills 41 at. Miami Dolphins 14
I'll be the first to admit it, I love the Bills when they aren't playing the Patriots. Bills mafia is the only life i want. T-Mobile just annihilated the Dolphins. How about all those idiots that said the 'phins would win the AFC East, LOL!

NFL Week 3 Roundup: NFC

Starting a new thing here on Top Cheddar, every week Luke and I will do an NFL recap. Luke will do games played in AFC stadiums (and the Patriots no matter what) and I'll do games played in NFC stadiums (and the Packers no matter what). So let's get to it.

Redskins 21, Giants 32: This game didn't get interesting until the 4th quarter. Just a bunch of field goals for a while. Both these teams have got to be some of my least favorite teams to watch. Eli Manning is a total tool. These two teams will be at the bottom of the NFC East even with the Cowboys missing Romo and Dez.

Falcons 39, Cowboys 28: A tale of two halves in this one. Cowboys led 28-14 at one point and 28-17 at halftime. The Falcons scored the final 25 points of the game thanks to another unreal game from Julio Jones, and a breakout performance from running back Devonta Freeman. Real weird move by the Cowboys to only run the ball 5 times in the second half after Joseph Randle went for 91 yards and 3 TDs in the first half alone, but I don't think anyone's ever praised Jason Garrett's coaching so I suppose that kinda shit is to be expected.

Saints 22, Panthers 27: A Saints team without Drew Brees isn't gonna win very many football games. Backup Luke McCown did his best, but still came up short against Cam Newton and the Panthers. An unbelievable interception in the end zone late in the game sealed the deal for Carolina.

Chargers 14, Vikings 31: Adrian Peterson is back to making babies (his wife had another kid on Sunday) and is also back to scoring touchdowns. Only a matter of time before he's back to beating and murdering his children.

Steelers 12, Rams 6: The field caught on fire before the game, and then what ensued on the field during the game was a complete dumpster fire. Even before Big Ben got injured, the Steelers offense didn't look great. And the Rams offense never really got anything going. So it was a pretty brutal game to watch. The key for Michael Vick and the Steelers while Big Ben is out will be to get the ball to Antonio Brown, Leveon Bell, and Martavis Bryant (when he gets back in week 5) and let them do the work. He's still got a good arm but he's pretty much a horrible decision maker and fumbles a ton. So just get the ball to everyone else as fast as possible and that's how the Steelers will remain in contention without Big Ben.

49ers 7, Cardinals 47: The Cardinals are legit. Carson Palmer looks great in that offense, Larry Fitzgerald is back to his usual ways, Chris Johnson had a 100 yard rushing game, the defense looks great. They're a quality football team. That being said, Colin Kaepernick sucks so I think this blow out is part Cardinals being good and part 49ers being bad.

Bears 0, Seahawks 26: Congrats Seattle, you needed to play the Bears to win a football game. And for the Bears, they are the worst team in the NFL.

Broncos 24, Lions 12: This game sucked. Peyton Manning looked a little better, but he's not fun to watch anymore. At least his receivers made two ridiculous catches for him that made something about this game worthwhile. Oh, and the Lions, they might be the second worst team in the NFL.

Chiefs 28, Packers 38: Another absurd game from Aaron Rodgers. He's truly incredible to watch. This game really wasn't a ten point game, but the Packers didn't really feel like throwing the ball to seal the game. I wish they would just put the foot on the gas and keep it there the whole game. The defense looked great until they kinda backed off for a little bit. They had 7 sacks on Monday night, and I can't remember the last time that happened for this Green Bay defense. The run defense has improved too. Jamaal Charles had 3 TD runs but he only had 49 yards on the ground. I also love Rodgers just showing the world on primetime how dumb the 49ers were for taking Alex Smith. Smith sucked on Monday night, and Rodgers threw for 5 TDs. Hilarious. Obviously that's not the only thing that makes the 49ers taking Smith #1 overall in 2005 look terrible, but it's awesome to see them head to head and watch Rodgers shove it in everyone's face. Go Pack Go!

Alright, that wraps it up for week 3. Sorry we came up with this idea 3 weeks into the season, but we'll keep it going each week coming up. Also, I'd put up highlights of the games, but the NFL has Hitler as their commissioner and they're YouTube account doesn't allow embedding videos. Every single NFL game has highlight videos up on the NFL YouTube account, and none of them are allowed to be embedded. Unreal.

College Football Roundup: Week 4

Not the best slate of games we've seen for a week of college football, but that being said we still saw a few thrillers and some top 25 blow outs.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes (vs. Western Michigan, W 38-12): Cardale Jones was back in at starter and he looked a lot better than last week. Buuuuut it was also Western Michigan so take that with a grain of salt.

2. Michigan State Spartans (vs. Central Michigan, W 30-10): A game I didn't watch. Can't imagine I missed much. Sick game MSU.

3. Ole Miss Rebels (vs. Vanderbilt, W 27-16): Perhaps a bit of a let down for Ole Miss after playing Alabama last week, but they got the win. And even though Vandy sucks, it still counts as a conference win. Can't knock that.

3. TCU Horned Frogs (@ Texas Tech, W 55-52): This was an incredible game. The tipped ball TD catch with about 20 seconds left was insane. And Tech almost answering with a bunch of laterals as time expired was nuts. Can't really ask for a more exciting college football game. Texas Tech is pretty good so I wouldn't dock TCU too much for only winning by 3. That's a conference road win. However, I think it's safe to say that their defense may need some work.

5. Baylor Bears (vs. Rice, W 70-17): What is Baylor thinking when they plan their out of conference schedule? They never play anyone meaningful out of conference.

6. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (vs. UMass, W 62-27): Notre Dame struggled early, but they got it figured out, setting up a huge matchup at Clemson this Saturday with College Gameday coming to Tiger Town.

7. Georgia Bulldogs (vs. Southern, W 48-6): A little prep for UGA before Bama this week.

8. LSU Tigers (@ Syracuse, W 34-24): Leonard Fournette with another 200 yard rushing game. He's pretty good.

9. UCLA Bruins (@ #16 Arizona, W 56-30): Okay, maybe UCLA is pretty good. I can't tell with these guys.

10. Florida State Seminoles: BYE

11. Clemson Tigers: BYE

12. Alabama Crimson Tide (vs. UL-Monroe, W 34-0): Great game Bama. Nice.

13. Oregon Ducks (vs. #18 Utah, L 62-20): I'm not sure how the Ducks got absolutely WORKED at home against Utah but it happened. Tough start to the season for Oregon. Credit to Utah for showing up and performing at a high level.

14. Texas A&M Aggies (vs. Arkansas, W 28-21 OT): Arkansas is still gonna be a tough opponent even though they've lost 3 games already. Arkansas was desperate for a win so nice job by A&M to escape with the W in Dallas.

15. Oklahoma Sooners: BYE

16. Arizona Wildcats (vs. #9 UCLA, L 56-30): Gotta at least make it a game guys, c'mon.

17. Northwestern Wildcats (vs. Ball State, W 24-19): Northwestern staying undefeated, love it.

18. Utah Utes (@ #13 Oregon, W 62-20): By far the most impressive win of the week goes to Utah. Hopefully they can continue to play well because it would be fun to have a team like Utah in the playoff mix.

19. USC Trojans (@ Arizona State, W 42-14): Pretty solid win on the road for the Trojans. ASU is a decent football team so credit USC for blowing them out at their place.

20. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (@ Duke, L 34-20): Nice little run ya had in the top 25 Georgia Tech, buuuut

21. Stanford Cardinal (@ Oregon State, W 42-24): Stanford has really rebounded from that opening week loss to Northwestern. Granted, Oregon State isn't a great football team, but still props to Stanford for starting off hot in conference play.

22. Wisconsin Badgers (vs. Hawaii, W 28-0): Tough schedule for Hawaii this year, huh?

22. BYU Cougars (@ Michigan, L 31-0): BYU blows a late lead at UCLA, and then turns around and gets shut out by Michigan at the Big House. Rough couple of weeks for the Cougars.

24. Oklahoma State (@ Texas, W 30-27): This was actually a great game to watch. Texas was almost able to pull off the upset but they still suck.

25. Missouri Tigers (@ Kentucky, L 21-13): This loss was a long time coming for Missouri. Bout damn time. They aren't a good football team.

Time to get FIRED UP for the big game this weekend. Can't wait to get watch Notre Dame get slaughtered by Deshaun and Co. #GoTigers

Free Money Friday

What up, we're back again. Sorry I missed last week, not sure why but I'm sure i was just too lazy to do it, so sorry to the 2 people that read this. But we're back for week 4.

I'm not one to bet unders, but if I was I would hammer this one. I think it will be a super low scoring game. Michigan's defense has been great and their quarterback doesn't really put up any points. My guess is the score will end up being like 17-10.

I'm sure come tomorrow I'll regret saying this cause it seems like as soon as I start betting on UCONN they start sucking, but I like UCONN +7  here. They've been having a pretty good season so far so I think they'll keep it close with Navy.

I like WV -17 in this one. They have only played 2 games this season but they've looked great in both of them. The Mountaineers have a great ground attack game and their secondaries are also incredibly good.

I like TCU -7 here. They're a strong team and should be able to take care of Texas Tech. I don't like the line here though, 83 is a lot and scares me.

I really like A&M -7.5 in this one. They have a strong offense that should be able to take care of Arkansas. I also like the over here. The last 5 A&M games on the road have hit the over.

I like Mississippi State +2 in this one. Auburn is a god damn awful team so I don't expect that they'll win this.

I love UCLA -3 in this. UCLA has won the past 3 games between these two teams. I like their quarterback so I think he'll be able to take control of the game and lead UCLA to victory.

Fire Jam Friday

Gotta love Fridays man. This week's FJF is absolute gold with some new stuff from 1D, Thomas Rhett, Disclosure, Drake & Future. And of course, mix in a few straight up classics and you got yourself one hell of a FJF. Getting drunk and jamming out to FJF is one of America's greatest pastimes so enjoy.

College Football Roundup: Week 3

Another great week of college football. And I'm late doing this again. Oops, oh well. Let's dive right into it here.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes (vs. Northern Illinois, W 20-13): Cardale didn't look good in this one, but luckily for OSU, Northern Illinois' QB was absolute trash in trying to take the lead/tie the game.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide (vs. #15 Ole Miss, L 43-37): I was lucky enough to get back from the Kesha concert (which was awesome by the way, a little disappointed in the lack of females that slept in my bed that night, but awesome nonetheless) in time for most of the second half of this game. Alabama as a team, and their fan base died at least 5 separate times Saturday night and it was really fun to watch. Swag Kelly still putting up numbers for Ole Miss.

3. TCU Horned Frogs (vs. SMU, W 56-37): Much like 2011 and 2012 at Clemson, Chad Morris' offense is putting up points for SMU but the defense is horrendous. Also, TCU is just a lot more talented than SMU. That might have something to do with it.

4. Michigan State Spartans (vs. Air Force, W 35-21): Not sure what to say about this game. At least MSU didn't have a let down after beating Oregon?

5. Baylor Bears: BYE

6. USC Trojans (vs. Stanford, L 41-31): I don't know how Stanford goes from scoring 6 points vs Northwestern to scoring 41 against USC two weeks later, but kudos to them. I hate Stanford, but I can't say anything bad about them after a win like that. As for USC, they're back to sucking I guess.

7. Georgia Bulldogs (vs. South Carolina, W 52-20): Love when SCAR gets absolutely demolished. They might lose 8-9 games this year. A UGA linebacker proposed to his hot girlfriend after the win too so that's pretty cool.

8. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (vs. #14 Georgia Tech, W 30-22): Notre Dame held off a late surge by Tech and their running back ran wild so I'm back to being kinda nervous for next week's game against them. But they do still have a back up QB so I'm not sold on ND being that good yet.

9. Florida State Seminoles (@ Boston College, W 14-0): FSU's offense looked like absolute garbage, but fortunately for them BC shouldn't even have a football program.

10. UCLA Bruins (vs. #19 BYU, W 24-23): Man, screw BYU for blowing their lead. UCLA is NOT a top 10 team.

11. Clemson Tigers (@ Louisville, W 20-17): Clemson's first road game on Thursday night did not go as planned but they still came out with the W. Deshaun struggled at times, but luckily Wayne Gallman had himself a day. The defense played great again, but the special teams is AWFUL. Definitely gonna have to make some improvements on offense and special teams in order to take care of Notre Dame. I think being back in Death Valley for that game will help out. My spin on this is that Louisville was 0-2 and desperately needed a win. They didn't play well, but they made enough plays to give Clemson a scare. So Clemson survived on the road on a Thursday night primetime game against a conference opponent who was desperate for victory. When you put it that way it doesn't sound that bad.

12. Oregon Ducks (vs. Georgia State, W 61-28): Safe to say Oregon took out their frustration from last week's loss on Georgia St.

13. LSU Tigers (vs. #18 Auburn, W 45-21): Leonard Fournette is a straight up beast. That's pretty much all you need to know about this game. Oh, and Auburn sucks.

14. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (@ #8 Notre Dame, L 30-22): Finally played a real team and your stupid little offense got shut down. Now you're just a loser football team going to school in Atlanta.

15. Ole Miss Rebels (@ #2 Alabama, W 43-37): I discussed a lot about this game earlier, but let me just say that winning in Tuscaloosa is straight up impressive. Also, I'm gonna put this play up again.

16. Oklahoma Sooners (vs. Tulsa, W 52-38): Baker Mayfield had himself a day with 6 total TDs but the D gave up 38 points to Tulsa so you can look at this win however you want to.

17. Texas A&M Aggies (vs. Nevada, W 44-27): Aggies stay undefeated. I think that's all I can say about this one.

18. Auburn Tigers (@ #13 LSU, L 45-21): Auburn sucks.

19. BYU Cougars (@ #10 UCLA, L 24-23): BYU led 20-10 and 23-17. Cmon guys, gotta finish that out.

20. Arizona Wildcats (vs. Northern Arizona, W 77-13): I love when teams hang up 70+ on opponents.

21. Utah Utes (@ Fresno State, W 45-24): Utes stay undefeated with a nice road win. I don't think there's another Carr brother at Fresno State, but still, nice to get an easy win on the road.

22. Missouri Tigers (vs. UConn, W 9-6): I'm so glad I didn't watch this game. So so so so glad.

23. Northwestern Wildcats (@ Duke, W 19-10): Northwestern keeps on rolling. Love it.

24. Wisconsin Badgers (vs. Troy, W 28-3): There's that Badgers defense. Granted it's Troy, but whatever.

25. Oklahoma State Cowboys (vs. UTSA, W 69-14): How bout the Cowboys sneaking into the top 25. Demolishing UTSA will help them stay there.

And that is a wrap for Week 3. Stay tuned for more CFB roundups to come. Hopefully I get week 4 out on time.

Go (Clemson) Tigers.

I Didn't Think This Sunday Could Get More American and then Taylor Swift Posts a Poolside Video of Dogs Licking Her Face

A video posted by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on

Packers are playing the Seahawks tonight. Yankees play the Mets tonight as well. I ordered pizza online to enjoy all the football before the big game tonight. Just about as American as it gets, right? Like you can't get any more American, right? Well that's what I thought until T-Swift comes out guns blazing with this poolside video of a couple dogs licking her face. Tay is such a cat person that seeing her chill with some dogs was awesome. Plus she looks so sexy with that bikini and those shades. Just absolutely love it. Need more T-Swift, dog videos.

Fire Jam Friday

Alright so now that we all survived Thursday night after Clemson survived a scare from Louisville, we can party on Friday. And that starts with pressing play on another awesome FJF. Got a few new songs from Demi Lovato, Ellie Goulding, and Timeflies that are jams, as well as some classics. It's the perfect FJF recipe. Enjoy.

The New Jungle Book Trailer is Out and it Looks BADASS

WOW. That looks AWESOME. I've always been a big fan of the original Jungle Book because it's fun and just generally a good movie, but it's also old. There's been an unnecessary amount of remakes in Hollywood lately, but this is not one of them. The old one was made in the 60s so putting some awesome 21st century effects on a children's classic is pretty sweet. I'm gonna 1000% see this opening night. I mean this movie looks like it might not even be appropriate for who the original one targeted (kids). The trailer makes it seem like this is just Gladiator in the jungle. And I'm all for it. Plus the cast is sweet. I mean look at this cast.
I know they're just voices, but seriously, have any of these people ever been in a bad movie? The answer is no because any bad movie ScarJo may have been in she made it good by being so god damn hot. Bill Murray voicing Baloo is going to be amazing. Holy shit I can't wait for this movie to come out.

College Football Roundup: Week 2

I really need to be more on top of these things. I'll be better going forward I hope. A decent week of college football considering it was only week 2. Great week for the SEC (not). Here we go.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes (vs. Hawaii, W 38-0): The only thing that mattered about this game was Hawaii's fire flames rainbow throwbacks.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide (vs. Middle Tennessee, W 37-10): Derrick Henry had 3 TDs and is good.

3. TCU Horned Frogs (vs. Stephen F Austin, W 70-7): Hanging 70 points on the board is exactly what you should do against SFA.

4. Baylor Bears (vs. Lamar, W 66-31): When Baylor plays a real team they're gonna get burned. No reason Lamar should score 31 points.

5. Michigan State Spartans (vs. #7 Oregon, W 31-28): I didn't see as much of this game as I would've liked because I was wrapped up in an intense game of slap cup and for some reason while partying someone switched to LSU/Miss St and never changed it back. Oh well. Obviously a big win for MSU. Basically all I have to say about that.

6. Auburn Tigers (vs. Jacksonville St, W 27-20 OT): Damn Jacksonville St for kicking 17 yard punts and ruining this game. At least the entire country found out that Auburn isn't actually good. #SilverLinings

7. Oregon Ducks (@ #5 Michigan State, L 31-28): Tough loss for the Ducks but they seem good enough to be able to bounce back.

8. USC Trojans (vs. Idaho, W 59-9): Since I picked USC to make the playoffs, I'm gonna keep hyping them up even though they're playing garbage opponents.

9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (@ Virginia, W 34-27): Even before Malik Zaire snapped his ankle in half, ND was struggling. Luckily for them, the back up came in and dropped a dime TD pass with only seconds left on the clock, murdering UVA fans everywhere.

10. Georgia Bulldogs (@ Vanderbilt, W 31-14): At several points late in the game I thought Vandy had a chance to make a comeback or at least make it seem like they were in the game, but their QB is an absolute spaz so they didn't. At least they had an awesome pooch onside kick recovery before the QB threw an INT in the endzone.

11. Florida State Seminoles (vs. South Florida, W 34-14): Dalvin Cook ran all over the place Saturday. He's gonna be the guy Clemson has to stop when the two meet in November, not Everett Golson.

12. Clemson Tigers (vs. Appalachian St, W 41-10): Clemson started off slowly. Deshaun looked sluggish and even threw an interception which sucked. He also almost got injured on a TERRIBLE snap by the center when he went to recover it. I thought it was a broken collarbone to be honest, but he only missed one play and seems fine. A 28 point second quarter helped put this game out of reach, and then Deshaun was relieved in the third quarter at some point. It'll be fun to see what numbers he puts up when he actually plays a full game. The first team defense looked great picking off the App State QB three times. Also, Wayne Gallman should probably be jailed for murdering an App State guy. See highlights.

13. UCLA Bruins (@ UNLV, W 37-3): Everyone's going 6 to midnight for UCLA and I'm not buying it.

14. LSU Tigers (@ #25 Mississippi State, W 21-19): LSU didn't score in the 4th quarter and almost blew a 21-6 lead. If only a certain fella on Miss St knew how to catch a 2 pt conversion attempt.

15. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (vs. Tulane, W 65-10): Tough to ease up on lesser opponents when all you do is run the football in the first place. Sick Tech.

16. Texas A&M Aggies (vs. Ball State, W 56-23): Hey Ball State had a QB drafted ahead of Tajh Boyd two years ago so great win for the Aggies.

17. Ole Miss Rebels (vs. Fresno State, W 73-21): Swag Kelly just puttin up numbers for the Rebels!

18. Arkansas Razorbacks (vs. Toledo, L 16-12): Remember when I said Arkansas would win the SEC? Yeah well they still are because I hate the rest of the SEC, but this loss was not only terrible but it was hilarious. Bret Biliema shit on Ohio State's schedule earlier in the week, and then he just goes out and loses to Toledo. Love it.

19. Oklahoma Sooners (@ #23 Tennessee, W 31-24 2OT): Great comeback by OU on the road against a ranked opponent. I don't think Tennessee is that good but still. Nice job battling back and getting a dub.

20. Boise State Broncos (@ BYU, L 35-24): Giving up 21 points in the fourth quarter is not a good look.

21. Missouri Tigers (@ Arkansas State, W 27-20): Mizzou blows, lucky to get out alive. Maty Mauk is so bad.

22. Arizona Wildcats (@ Nevada, W 44-20): I don't know who Nick Wilson is but he ran for 194 yards and 3 TDs so he might be decent.

23. Tennessee Volunteers (vs. #19 Oklahoma, L 31-24 2OT): Gotta be a pretty embarrassing loss for the Vols. Told ya they weren't good.

24. Utah Utes (vs. Utah State, W 24-14): I guess Utah is #24 and I guess they're okay. Not sure though.

25. Mississippi State Bulldogs (vs. #14 LSU, L 21-19): Almost completed the comeback in the fourth quarter, but oh well. Feel like they'll be able to compete in the SEC.

Alright, that's a wrap for week 2. Again, I hope to have these out on Mondays instead of Tuesdays in the future but whatever. Not like the 4 people who read it care. See ya next week.

2015 Green Bay Packers Season Preview

Okay Packers fans, let's put that NFC Championship heartbreak behind us and get ready for Green Bay to kick some ass this season. I've waited so damn long for the NFL season to get here and we finally start up tomorrow. The Packers are already facing some challenges before the season even starts, but I think we'll be just fine. So let's get to it.

OFFENSE
The best offense in all of football returns to the field tomorrow and I don't really expect anything less than what Aaron Rodgers and Co. did last season. Love watching the boys go to work. They put up some filthy numbers.

AARON RODGERS, QB
Not much to say here. I mean, his play pretty much speaks for itself. Best quarterback in the league hands down. He can make every throw there possibly could be and does so with perfection.

EDDIE LACY, RB
No joke, Eddie Lacy might be the best running back in the league. Such a friggin beast. He's about to overtake Marshawn Lynch as the "beast mode" back in the league. Not only can he truck guys and do great things with hand offs, but he can catch passes outta the backfield effectively which is huge for Aaron when he's scrambling trying to make plays.

RANDALL COBB, WR
The Packers are definitely gonna miss Jordy Nelson, but the combination of Randall Cobb and some other guys will help fill in that vacancy. Randall is an absolute stud who caught 91 passes last year. I expect that total to only increase this year. It sounds crazy, but the Packers might end up with the best QB in football, the best running back in football, and the best wide receiver in football. Incredible.

DAVANTE ADAMS, WR
Davante had a breakout game in the NFC Divisional round against the Cowboys last season, and now with Jordy out, I'm looking for a breakout season from him. This kid is the real deal and he's gonna be able to create a lot of opportunities for himself this year. Can't wait to see him emerge as a great #2 option for Aaron.

Other Players to Watch on Offense:
James Jones, WR
James Starks, RB
Ty Montgomery, WR
Richard Rodgers, TE
Andrew Quarless, TE

DEFENSE
The defense struggled at the beginning of last year, especially against the run, but they picked it up towards the end so hopefully that's what we see more of this season. They got back to doing what they do best, which is create turnovers. I think we'll continue to see the D improve this season and force even more turnovers.

CLAY MATTHEWS, OLB
Clay has had at least 10 sacks in each of his first five seasons, which is pretty damn good. He had to be put at inside linebacker last last season and the defense immediately improved when that happened. I think that was only a temporary thing, but just know that if Clay Matthews is healthy, he'll be a huge impact on this defense wherever he is on the field.

JULIUS PEPPERS, OLB
Peppers is getting up there in age, but he had a solid season last year. He's gonna be key again this year to the Packers success on defense. His huge forced fumble in the NFC Divisional round against the Cowboys was one of the biggest plays of the Packers season. Hopefully he can continue to be a more than adequate pass rusher even as he gets older.

SAM SHIELDS, CB
Sam Shields didn't have his best season last year, but he's still a talented guy and I expect a bounce back season from him. He's the Packers best cover corner, and he'll lead the way for a secondary that will intercept a lot of passes.

HA HA CLINTON-DIX, FS
Another guy who will help force a lot of turnovers is Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. He had a pretty solid rookie season, and even though he had two interceptions in the NFC Championship game, he should've had three and should've picked off a two point conversion attempt as well. But that's behind us. He was an immediate impact in the secondary last year, and while Morgan Burnett had a strong bounce back season a year ago, Clinton-Dix was the biggest reason why the Packers safety play improved so much from 2013 to 2014. Look for that to continue in 2015.

Free Money Friday

We're back, week 2 baby. I'll admit, last week was a little rough but as i always say, the more you lose the more you gamble. Keep in mind it's still early so it can be hard to get a good read on the teams.

I'll take LSU -4 here. It's their first game of the season since last week they got cancelled due to lightning. I think they should be able to take on Miss State and win by a TD.

I like Temple +7 in this one. They had a big win against Penn State last week and I think they'll be able to take down Cinci.

I love Clemson -19.5 here. If you read any of Mark's blogs, you know that they have Deshaun Watson back under center who is absolutely filthy. Last week the Tigers destroyed Wofford 49-10.

I'll take Notre Dame -13 in this one. They absolutely wrecked Texas last week 38-3. They should be able to take care of UVA as well.

I LOVE Oregon State +14.5 here. Michigan's QB is god awful so I don't think they'll be able to pull off a 14.5 point win.

I like the under in this one. Vandy is so god damn awful, they won't be putting up many points. I also don't expect Georgia to put up a ton either.

I LOVE Georgia Tech -30.5. Tulane's defense is poopy and lost by 30 to DUKE last week. No way they'll be able to stop Georgia Tech's offense.

I like Michigan State -4 here. I don't think the Ducks will be able to pull off the W. I also like the over in this one. I think it will be a high scoring affair.

Fire Jam Friday

This Friday happens to be September 11th, so make sure you take some time today to remember those who lost their lives 14 years ago in the awful terrorist attacks. And if you need a pick-me-up due to the sadness of the day, well here's another great Fire Jam Friday. Last week there wasn't too much new stuff to choose from, but this week is a treat. Got some new Selena, Rachel Platten, Duran Duran, Jana Kramer and more. I also threw in a double dosage of Frank Sinatra because I put "Come Fly With Me" on and then realized I should throw "New York, New York" on there as well in honor of 9/11 as well as the Yankees huge 4 game series against the Blue Jays this week.
