College Football: Week 4 in Review

Week 4 is history and it is with a heavy heart that I return to review the weekend that was in college football.

1. Florida State Seminoles (vs. #22 Clemson, W 23-17 OT): You're welcome.

2. Oregon Ducks (@ Washington State, W 38-31): The Ducks had to fight hard to win this one against Washington State. Kinda embarrassing but all teams struggle at some point. Still got it done.

3. Alabama Crimson Tide (vs. Florida, W 42-21): This game was tied at 21 until Bama scored the final 21 points of the game and routed the Gators. The offense was very impressive. Amari Cooper is a special player.

4. Oklahoma Sooners (@ West Virginia, W 45-33): Morgantown isn't an easy place to play, but OU got it done on the road.

5. Auburn Tigers (@ #20 Kansas State, W 20-14): What a boring game. No exciting plays. If K State had a kicker, Auburn probably loses.

6. Texas A&M Aggies (@ SMU, W 58-6): Well A&M hasn't played anyone meaningful since their opener against South Carolina, but they're 4-0 and still rolling.

7. Baylor Bears: BYE

8. LSU Tigers (vs. Mississippi State, L 34-29): Almost completed the comeback, but you lost LSU...to Mississippi State...at home.

9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish: BYE

10. Ole Miss Rebels: BYE

11. Michigan State Spartans (vs. Eastern Michigan, W 73-14): Okay.

12. UCLA Bruins: BYE

13. Georgia Bulldogs (vs. Troy, W 66-0): Good for you.

14. South Carolina Gamecocks (@ Vanderbilit, W 48-34): Honestly should be 0-4. Not even close to joking. This team sucks.

15. Arizona State Sun Devils: BYE

16. Stanford Cardinal: BYE

17. USC Trojans: BYE

Get it?

18. Missouri Tigers (vs. Indiana, L 31-27): Had Indiana ever won a football game before Saturday evening? I'm embarrassed for you Mizzou. In front of your home crowd too. Those poor people.

19. Wisconsin Badgers (vs. Bowling Green, W 68-17): All I have to say is Melvin Gordon.

20. Kansas State Wildcats (vs. #5 Auburn, L 20-14): You're not alone in your search for an adequate place kicker, K State. I feel for you.

21. BYU Cougars (vs. Virginia, W 41-33): I don't know.

22. Clemson Tigers (@ #1 Florida State, L 23-17 OT): WE HAD IT. I'm over being pissed off. I definitely got all of that out on Saturday night on my 2 mile walk home. Sorry for the disturbance. As far as the game went, we played well until the red zone. Missed chip shot field goals, overturned TDs, not challenging clear TDs that weren't ruled TDs, missed passes by Stoudt, AWFUL snaps, fumbles. All of this happened in the red zone. And then not to mention Mackenzie Alexander who played an excellent game slipping to allow the 75 yard game-tying TD. Just unlucky. But, I'm ready for us to bounce back against UNC this week. Deshaun is our new starter (Thank God), the defense is looking good, and Dabo is keeping the boys positive. That's all you can be after a loss like that. Stay positive and win out. Try to get that Orange Bowl again.

23. Ohio State Buckeyes: BYE

24. Nebraska Cornhuskers (vs. Miami, W 41-31): Good win. I think. Didn't really watch it.

25. Oklahoma State Cowboys: BYE

Sorry that all my attention was on #22. Didn't really care enough to write about any of the other teams. Play a ranked team one time for me, and I'll consider giving you a complete sentence of breakdown.

Jameis, look dumber on the sidelines. You can't.

This dude is my new favorite player. Let's go.

Guy loves the endzone

Time to bounce back.
