Jameis Winston Suspended for First Half vs. Clemson

UPDATE: JAMEIS WINSTON NOW SUSPENDED FOR THE ENTIRE GAME VS CLEMSON

ESPN: Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has been suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against Clemson after he was seen shouting an obscene sexual phrase on campus Tuesday.

FSU interim president Dr. Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox denounced Winston's "offensive and vulgar" behavior in a statement Wednesday to announce the punishment.

"As the university's most visible ambassadors, student-athletes at Florida State are expected to uphold at all times high standards of integrity and behavior that reflect well upon themselves, their families, coaches, teammates, the Department of Athletics and Florida State University," the joint statement said. "Student-athletes are expected to act in a way that reflects dignity and respect for others."

The joint statement also said Winston would undergo "internal discipline."

On Tuesday, Florida State students began flooding Twitter as several witnessed the reigning Heisman Trophy winner allegedly stand on a table in or in the immediate vicinity of the student union and yell obscenities, mimicking a popular Internet video. The phrase is of a sexual nature.

I've been seeing a lot of stuff about how this is the most ridiculous suspension of all time, but I couldn't disagree more. And I'm not just saying that because I go to Clemson. You can't just stand on a table in the middle of campus and just shout "fuck her right in the pussy" and not expect to get in trouble. I know it's a been a big internet craze this year, but come on dude. People that are complaining about the suspension are boiling it down to the simplest way you could put it, that a 20 year old got suspended because he cursed. That's not what it's about though. You're the reigning Heisman winner, a national champion, and the QB for the #1 team in the country. At least try to have some class bro. And it's not like it's an NCAA suspension. It's a suspension made by the coach who thought it was an inappropriate thing to do and doesn't want him to reflect the university in that way. Dabo dismisses or suspends players here occasionally because they don't conduct themselves in a way that he thinks is good for the program. I still think Jimbo Fisher is an idiot and I don't like him but at least he finally has some pride in his program and doesn't want the most well known player in college football shouting "fuck her right in the pussy" across campus. 

Also, when you've had a pending rape case for over a year, you probably shouldn't be yelling that all over the place. Not a good look, even if it is just mimicking an internet meme.

And I also think that this is basically Jimbo Fisher saying that he thinks they're gonna walk all over us even without Jameis for a half. Screw him.

It's about time he got suspended for something. If it's not gonna be for the rape or for the shoplifting, might as well get him for this.

Hey Jameis, try not being a fucking idiot for one day in your life.

Thanks FSU students for getting Jameis in trouble. I kinda wanted to try to beat them with him, but one half isn't too bad. Maybe we'll win though. 

P.S. How bout that Alexis chick not knowing what Jameis Winston looks like or not knowing his moronic voice. You can't "#gonoles" Alexis when you don't even know the best player.
