Peyton Manning Bought Papa John's Franchises to Profit Off Stoners Getting the Munchies

NY PostPeyton Manning may just be an evil genius.
The Broncos quarterback squeezed in a reference to his apparently booming Papa John’s franchises in an interview with MMQB.com.
Manning bought 21 franchises of the pizza chain in October 2012, two weeks before weed was legalized in the state.
“I’ve gotten to know some of the folks here in Colorado,” Manning said in responding to a question about whether he voted.
“There’s some different laws out here in Colorado. Pizza business is pretty good out here, believe it or not, due to some recent law changes. So when you come to a different place, you’ve kind of got to learn everything that comes with it.”

Love the move by Peyton. I don't know why this is just coming out now, but it's a genius idea. Those hipsters out in Colorado are always getting high and getting the munchies. Why not profit off of it? Especially if the multi-millionaire NFL player ever gets in a bit of a pinch financially, it'll help keep some extra spending cash in his pockets. It kinda sucks that he has endorsement deals with Papa John's so he felt inclined to buy those franchises, but I'm sure he's making bank off them anyway. Team Domino's all the way if we're talking middle of the road chain restaurant pizza.
I've never really liked Peyton Manning at all, but gotta love this. Turning himself into a mogul. Maybe if he threw a spiral once in his life, he'd get some more love from me, but I'm sure he doesn't give a shit. Bout to break a ton of passing records, get high to celebrate and then buy shitty pizza from one of his own franchises.
