Source- A New York state woman hosted a beer pong party and supplied nine underage people — including four juveniles — a "large assortment of alcohol" at her home, police said. A witness reported the party to police and when they arrived, Kennedy, the homeowner, admitted to hosting the party as well as supplying the tables, cups and ping-pong balls for the drinking game. The nine people were drinking form the large assortment of alcohol. Four of them were under the age of 17, police said. She was charged with nine counts of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. She was also charged under a local "social host law" that imposes criminal liability for homeowners who allow alcohol violations on their property, police sad. Kennedy was released pending a court date and could face up to a year in prison and $1,000 fine, police said.
Woof. Talk about bad luck, huh. I can't believe this woman got such a heavy punishment for such a measly thing. 9 kids drinking at your house is not a lot. If you ask me, this woman was in the right for letting her kid and it's buddies drink at her house. They're in a safe environment, from the sounds of it no one was drinking. Just a couple of teenagers having a good time throwing back a few natty lights. What's the harm in that? Also how about the person that snitched???? What an absolute jerk. It must have been some kid that was angry he didn't get invited. None the less, you can't snitch bro. Now you aren't going to get invited to any parties, hell there probably won't even be many more parties since the parents in this town are going to be scared to let their kids have people over. Also how about her getting charged with endangering the welfare of a child. 17 is barely a child, when you're 17 you're pretty much making decisions for yourself and I'm guessing these kids parents let them go over to this house. I can't believe they stated she "supplied the cups, table and balls" um if you have any flat surfaces in your home you're pretty much supplying a spot to play beer pong. Putnam County, where the party happened, is a pretty quite area that not much goes on around. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that these cops were just bored and needed something to do so they decided to bust this little get together. I doubt many major crimes are being committed in that area, but still how about you focus on some real problems, not a couple of teenagers having a house party. If no one was in danger and they were just hanging out playing beer pong, I see absolutely zero reason to ruin the fun.
